Flow rack rollers are a form of shelving that uses gravity feed rear-load design. The Carton Flow Picking Unit system is a fast and flexible solution for you to transport components to assembly stations without interruptions.

Flow rack rollers eliminate the aisles in between racks so that it increases the storage capacity. The carton flow system is ideal for order picking operations because the goods are easily transported by gravity rollers, while the operator removes the goods presented at the front side the following cartons come automatically by gravity without putting any effort or using any source of power which reduce time consuming and eliminates picking errors in allowing FIFO storing concept.

With a First-In/First-Out product rotation, flow rack rollers are commonly used in warehouses with high volume order picking. These gravity driven systems are loaded from the back side and the product (boxes or cartons) flow to the front of the rack system for pick and packing. These systems can be custom engineered to compliment the order filling traffic flow.

Carton Flow works best with light to medium goods such as cans and boxed food items, where picking density is high, and space is limited.

Manufactured from steel, all rollers roll independently, significantly increasing the flexibility and ease of handling for the picker. As well as this, the added need for brake drums or break rollers allows you to maintain control of the pallet speed when moving across the rollers.

On exit, the package is retained by the brake ramps or pallet retainers. There is then the option to add protection at the entrance to the aisle to minimize damage to the roller.

When using Carton Flow systems, it is crucial that the package is of good quality and not damaged as any damage would hinder its movement over the rollers and could cause issues when picking.
