Cantilever rack for lumber is heavy duty storage shelving that is designed for storing long and awkward items or materials such as lumber, piping and plywood. Lumber racks make accessing these materials much easier because there is nothing in the front of the rack to restrict reaching the stored materials with a forklift.

Cantilever rack for lumber is designed for either single sided or double sided use. Single sided racks store materials on the front side only, where double sided racking uses both the front and back sides.

With structural cantilever, shelf supports, or arms, extend off the supporting upright column towers. Arms can be spaced 3, 4 or 5 feet apart and the loads rest equally over structural shelf brackets. Loads are center-spaced and supported by the lumber racking system's load support arms, which protrude from the upright towers at equally spaced heights up to 6 levels or more.

These load arm supports are designed to ensure storage space with equally distributed weight over the length of lumber and similar items being stored.
